While GoPro announced its new Hero 13 Black camera model, DJI is not standing still and is competing with its new Action 5 Pro camera model.
In many ways, it is similar to the previous generation Action 4 model, as it features the same camera sensor. However, the maximum resolution has now increased to 40MP, up from the previous 10MP. The lens still has a 155-degree wide field of view and an f/2.8 aperture. The new improvements allow for recording 4K resolution videos at 120 frames per second.
One of the biggest new features is the camera’s ability to automatically center objects, which will enhance video stabilization even without a special gimbal handle. The Action 5 Pro camera also comes with a larger battery, now rated at 1950mAh, providing up to four hours of recording time on a single charge.
These new improvements have also allowed for larger camera screens. The internal memory has now increased to 47GB. The starting price for the DJI Action 5 Pro is $349.
