The list below shows all the iPhones that will have access to iOS 18, either through a beta version or the stable version.
There is some very good news for all users who were pleased last year to find out that their iPhone was compatible with iOS 17. Apple has not made any changes; everything remains the same as last year, so no iPhones have been added to or removed from the compatibility list.
If you were able to update to iOS 17, you can also update to iOS 18. Below is the list of iPhones that are compatible with the new operating system and all the new features that have been announced.
iPhones that will have access to iOS 18:
- iPhone 15
- iPhone 15 Plus
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 14
- iPhone 14 Plus
- iPhone 14 Pro
- iPhone 14 Pro Max
- iPhone 13
- iPhone 13 mini
- iPhone 13 Pro
- iPhone 13 Pro Max
- iPhone 12
- iPhone 12 mini
- iPhone 12 Pro
- iPhone 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 11 Pro
- iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone XS
- iPhone XS Max
- iPhone XR
- iPhone SE (2nd generation)
- iPhone SE (3rd generation)
Did you find your iPhone on the list? If so, it means you will be able to update to iOS 18 today in the beta phase or next September when it is officially and stably launched. However, if your phone is not on the list, you will continue to enjoy iOS 16 and will not be able to update to a newer version.
The main news is that Apple has not removed any models from the list, which is quite common when transitioning from one operating system to another. Following the strategy of previous years, the Cupertino company would typically have stopped support for the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max, but it has chosen not to do so in order to extend their useful life.
